Club READ ...pillows!

Club READ is awesome!

A local tailor made pillows for us out of various fabrics (that may or may not match a lot of Ms. Stacia's wardrobe! Haha)... We had fun filling the pillows with stuffing... and should be getting more next week for the rest of the pillows.

Not only beautiful... comfy too!

Minou and Elisa  :)

Teamwork to create some pillows...

Khai reading manga on the computer...

Davina found a good spot!

Rosie... comfy with Harry Potter...

Penny and Susie got creative with the clean-up!

Bee... up and coming!

Ms. Stacia is beginning the plans for this year's Spelling Bee!

The Bee is scheduled for Wednesday, November 14th.

(Class Bees will be held the day before in your

Language Arts class... Tuesday, November 13th.)

AIS Basketball Games vs. SSIS

Ms. Stacia went to yesterday's basketball games at SSIS... GREAT games!

The boys tacked on another victory and the girls' games was a nail-biter down to the last second... ending in a one-point difference in scores.

Great job to all AIS basketball athletes. --And thanks to the other students who came to support!

Club READ is underway!

We have SIXTEEN students in Club READ! What a wonderful turnout  :)

We have already had two meetings... of free-read time. I love it.

If you are in another club this term but are interested in Club READ, we would love to have you join in another term!

Below are some pictures from our first meeting... September 5th...

popular place to be!

The library is a popular place to be within school!

Ms. Winny and Ms. Stacia really love seeing so many students coming to the library each day!

The two lunch periods are turning out to be a bustling time for the library each day... we love having you come in!

PS - There are many new Doraemon and Conan books in the library now! They have been very popular lately... if the one you want is not in, have Ms. Stacia or Ms. Winny put one or two on hold for you!

Andrew and Mai being goofy  :P

"The Librarian is a smart person."

Ohhh how this note made my day :)

While checking in books... I found the note shown above inside one... it was marking a piece of a short story containing (of course!) a librarian as one of the main characters.

:) ...Little surprises like this are wonderful to find within the book return box... AND now this note is prominently displayed on the side of my computer.

Bananagrams in the library!

Josh, Zakea, and Daily are LUCKY enough to have study hall in the library, with yours truly, the last period of each day.   :P

...And at the end of the school day, what's better than taking an educational break with a game?!  --  Like Bananagrams! ...Or seeing how quickly you can put the snazzy 3-D puzzle ball together!

...Remember to have a dictionary on hand to check the spelling of words... and to check if some 'words' really are words!
